Eden Hazard – “A Defender’s Nightmare”

Eden Hazard – “A Defender’s Nightmare”

On Monday, Eden Hazard revealed via his Twitter account, that he plans to sign for the Champions League winners Chelsea. This came as a surprise as in previous interviews, he had been quoted as saying he’d be playing in Manchester next season. This turn of events has put the cat amongst the pigeons and hopefully it will signal Abramovich’s intent this summer.

Hazard is clearly a very gifted player with age very much on his side, being only 21. He collected 20 goals and 15 assists last season and all of them can be seen in the video below:

He has pace and trickery, and looks comfortable taking free-kicks, corners and penalties. This all adds to him being a significant fantasy prospect if he cements a spot in Chelsea’s starting XI. Already, various international team mates have spoken of his quality:
I think he is a player people go to the stadiums for. People will love him and love watching him playing football, so I think he is a good player for the Premier League. (Thomas Vermaelen)

He has the quality to succeed in every competition in Europe but the English competition is the best in the world so it will be good for his development. (Moussa Dembele)
Chosen as Ligue 1’s Player of the Season for the second consecutive year, Hazard comes to the Premier League with high expectations and I think it’s safe to say, we’ll all enjoy watching him this coming fantasy season.
