We are currently well into the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, during which Muslims refrain from food and drinks from dawn to dusk. Some of you may be able to remember that Alan Pardew attributed Demba Ba’s slow start to last season to fasting during this holy month, which leads us fantasy football managers to consider whether it will affect any football players this year.

This is what Demba Ba had to say on the matter last season:
